Facing an extraction and dreading months with a gap? Or a front tooth that’s just failed?
Same-day implants place the post and fit a temporary tooth in one appointment. You walk into our Kirkby-in-Ashfield clinic and walk out with teeth — not a promise to come back.
Not every case qualifies. Dr Azeem Mirza scans first and tells you honestly whether yours does.
✓ Teeth the day we place them · ✓ Free 3D CT scan · ✓ 5-year implant warranty · ✓ Placed by our Clinical Director · ✓ Guided surgery · ✓ 0% finance available
“Same day” means two things fit into one appointment: we place the implant, and we fit a temporary tooth on top. You leave without a visible gap.
It works because a well-placed implant grips the bone firmly enough to hold a temporary tooth straight away — while the deeper fusing, osseointegration, finishes over the next three to six months. Your permanent tooth comes after that.
You are likely suitable if:
The honest catch: if there is infection at the site, it has to heal first. And same-day is more technique-sensitive than the staged route, so it is not right for every mouth. Your free CT scan settles it.
Stage 1
Dr Mirza scans your jaw in 3D. The scan checks bone quality and rules out infection — the two things that decide whether same-day is safe for you. You leave with a written plan and an exact price. You pay nothing.
Stage 2
We remove the failing tooth if needed and place the implant, under local anaesthetic, through a printed surgical guide. Then we fit a temporary tooth on top. You leave with something in the gap. IV sedation is available.
Stage 3
Your bone fuses over three to six months while you wear the temporary. We then fit your permanent crown or bridge and issue your 5-year warranty in writing.
Dr Azeem Mirza — BDS, BSc (Aberdeen) · Certificate in Implantology, University of Aberdeen (2016) · GDC No. 264265 · Clinical Director
Dr Mirza leads our Kirkby-in-Ashfield clinic and places every implant himself — consultation, placement and final restoration. The same clinician throughout, not a different face at each appointment. The Dental Reporter featured him in Dentistry Wrapped 2025, discussing the future of modern dentistry.
We publish it here, before you call. Your CT scan sets the exact figure.
Same-day is a timeline, not a separate treatment — so the price follows what you’re having placed:
| What you’re replacing | Route | From |
|---|---|---|
| One tooth, same day | Single implant + temporary crown | From £1,994 |
| A full arch, same day | All-on-4 — four implants | From £9,995 |
| A full arch, more support | All-on-6 — six implants | From £11,995 |
0% finance is available. Your written quote is free.

Often, yes. Placing the implant straight into the socket after removing the tooth is called immediate placement. It works when the site has no active infection and enough bone. Your free CT scan confirms it. If there is infection, the socket has to heal first.
Standard implants place the post, then wait three to six months before fitting the crown — two appointments months apart. Same-day places the post and a temporary tooth in one visit. The bone still fuses over three to six months, but you are never left with a gap.
Yes, on the right patient. Same-day is more technique-sensitive than the staged route, so failure risk is slightly higher if the site is not ideal. That is exactly why we never place same-day without a CT scan confirming bone quality and no infection. Selection is the whole game.
Soft foods the same day. Avoid hard, crunchy and chewy food for eight to twelve weeks while the implant fuses, to protect the temporary tooth. Once your permanent tooth is fitted, you eat normally.
The titanium post is built to last a lifetime with good care. The permanent crown typically lasts 15 to 25 years. ITI published data reports 95 to 98 percent implant survival over ten years. Your implants carry a 5-year warranty, issued in writing.
